EV7WK02 Handmade Extended-Length Long Hooded Cardigan

This super limited EVW7K02 GBS Evolution VIII supersweater is one of only two pieces in the world, created exclusively for LABELS. It is based on a specially developed elongated "extensionism" hooded cardigan pattern with a minimalist hidden-button front and slim-fitting design. Expertly knit using classic fully fashioned techniques by the Sella family in Cavarzere Venezia, the sweater incorporates over 830 grams of pure Mongolian cashmere yarn from Italy’s prestigious Cariaggi Lanificio, known for its ultralux quality and 10 times more insulating power than regular wool.

The knitwear was individually hand-dyed and treated in the GBS Superworkrooms at Cavarzere Venezia to achieve its midnight color, patina effects, drape, and remarkable softness, which improves with wear. Its seamless, one-piece construction eliminates cutting or sewing seams, while rib-knit sections, "calatura" shoulder shaping, patch pockets, hood finishing, and hand-sewn pure silk hood strap loops showcase Italian craftsmanship. Eight advanced real horn snap buttons, custom-made by Claudio and Cinzia Fontana in Parma, were each hand-sewn with pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta threads, requiring over two hours for button attachment alone.

The sweater also features a hand-dyed pure silk label by Mion SpA in Torreglia, the first in the luxury industry to eliminate plastic polyester yarns. It is attached entirely by hand with silk threads for added elegance. Variations in color and density reflect the artisanal techniques used. Professional cleaning or gentle handwashing in cold water is recommended, with flat air drying. Avoid washing with other items, machine washing, or drying.
